We are looking for an HCPC registered advanced dietitian to join our team working in the Wessex Adult Cystic Fibrosis Service 0.6 wte (22.5 hours per week) on a fixed term basis to cover a maternity leave.
The Wessex Adult Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Service looks after patients from a wide area including Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire, Somerset, East and West Sussex, the Isle of Wight and the Channel Islands. We are a friendly and welcoming multidisciplinary team, aiming to provide excellence in adult CF care. You will be working within a close and supportive team of dietitians, specialist nurses, physiotherapists and doctors providing support to inpatients and outpatients with CF.
The department of dietetics and speech and language therapy employs approximately 130 staff, providing both acute and community services in adults and paediatrics across a range of specialities.

We are looking for someone who has a keen interest in nutrition in cystic fibrosis, with evidence of relevant, strong clinical skills. Knowledge and experience of working in CF would be an advantage but training will also be available.
Previous clinical experience in nutritional support, pancreatic disease, respiratory or diabetes are highly desirable and this post would suit someone who has previously worked at a band 6 or 7 level in these specialities and is looking for a new challenge. Flexibility, ability to prioritise and manage a busy, complex caseload is important.
You must have excellent communication skills as well as an empathic nature to help patients manage their long‑term condition and be aware of the psychological impact this may have.
You will be organised and well‑motivated, demonstrating an ability to act as a senior member of a multidisciplinary team.
