Perfect Placement is recruiting on behalf of a well‑established multi‑franchise dealership in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, for a skilled Diagnostic Vehicle Technician to join a modern, manufacturer‑backed workshop.

The role offers up to £50,000 basic salary, depending on experience, with an OTE of £56,000 plus a bonus scheme and a £500 joining bonus, plus £500 after 12 months’ service. 30 days holiday, pension, travel allowance, staff discounts and ongoing EV training are provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Proven experience as a Diagnostic Technician or Senior Technician.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
• EV qualification advantageous but not essential (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical faults.
• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and advanced repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Complete electronic Vehicle Health Checks (eVHCs).
• Ensure all repairs are carried out safely, accurately, and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate workshop documentation.
• Support colleagues with technical guidance where required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
• Keep technical skills current through ongoing manufacturer training.
