Advanced Data Analytics – Health & Life Sciences

We believe in the power of ingenuity to build a positive human future. We challenge where it matters and own the outcome. We combine strategic thinking, customer‑centric service design, and agile engineering practices to accelerate innovation in a tech‑driven world.

Why consider joining our Digital & Data community?

Join our Digital & Data team working alongside product, design and a wide range of other experts and cross‑disciplinary teams to bring ideas to life through innovative software solutions.

Grow a flexible and unique career within a trust‑based, inclusive environment that values excellence, innovation, and curiosity. You have the option to progress with us on a technical career track. No need to go onto the Partner career track if this doesn’t align with what you want to do.

Hybrid working – our approach is to be in the office or on client site a minimum of 2 days per week.

Work on a broad variety of projects and tech stacks for clients across seven sectors – no project is ever the same.

Join other experts within our supportive and collaborative tech community through knowledge‑sharing and peer‑level support, coaching and mentoring.

Deepen your expertise through our culture of learning and growth – you’ll have budget to take courses (technical and non‑technical training), plus gain certifications.

While we advocate for using the right tech for the right task, you can expect to work with the following technologies to ensure scalable, high‑performance applications and reproducible analytical pipelines:

  • SQL
  • Excel
  • Python
What you can expect

In the UK our healthcare experts work extensively with individual trusts, Integrated Care Systems, NHS England, DHSC and other ALBs. Our primary areas of focus are:

  • Operational and financial productivity
  • Organisational PMO design and deployment

We are seeking an experienced Health Data Science consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science and mathematical modelling, with a focus on using advanced analytics techniques to support data‑centric decision making in healthcare organisations, particularly hospitals.

You can expect

To become a key member of our healthcare team, delivering the data components of impactful programmes of work to support improvement in healthcare services.

To work to agile best practices in cross‑functional teams of experts. You’ll be using your technical skills to problem solve with our clients, as well as working on internal projects.

Hybrid working with the team on client site or in our office a minimum of two days per week. However, the actual time you spend and where you spend it will vary by role or assignment, including up to 5 days per week on a client site.

An environment that deeply cares about its values.

To use a range of different tools and technologies depending on the specific task, these include: Databricks, Python, PySpark, R, Excel, Palantir Foundry, SQL and PowerBI.

Qualifications

Even if you don’t meet every requirement below, feel free to still apply as we are often hiring for similar roles which your background might be better suited to.

A degree, Masters or PhD from a leading university in data science, mathematics, operational research, physics, or statistics.

Experience of conducting analysis for evidence‑based decision making, designing and developing models and conducting analysis to support data‑centric decision making.

Experience working with clients to translate business needs into analytical approaches and solutions, and with strong ability to communicate approaches, and findings to technical and non‑technical audience.

Experience of working across the full analytics and modelling lifecycle – problem formulation, exploratory data analysis, model design, build, testing and handover.

Experience working with common tools like python, SQL, Excel and data visualisation solutions for modelling and analysis.

Experience of leading and delivering solutions that involved one or more of the following specialisms: advanced analytics and data science, algorithm design and development, developing operational research models, data engineering, big data and Cloud platforms, data visualisation or dashboard development.

A genuine affinity for problem solving – an inquisitive mind who wants to solve the trickiest challenges whilst working with incredible colleagues.

Some nice to haves are

Excellent stakeholder management, project management and communication skills. Experience working in or providing consulting and advisory services to stakeholders.

Experience in the software or product development lifecycle for analytical solutions, e.g. could include managing analytical solutions across the discovery, development/prototype, rollout, implementation and managed service stages.
