Advanced Clinical Pharmacist – Bank

We are looking for an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist to join us on a bank basis. The role involves developing and delivering the medicines optimisation and safety agenda alongside a team of clinical pharmacists.

What you will be doing
  • Processing repeat and non‑repeat medication requests
  • Conducting clinical medication reviews with patients to optimise treatment
  • Supporting the development and implementation of prescribing policies
  • Reconciling medicines after hospital discharge and ensuring patients receive required treatments
  • Monitoring and reviewing prescribing patterns to ensure compliance with the Pan Mersey Formulary
  • Answering medicine‑related queries from healthcare staff and patients
  • Contributing to audits and quality improvement initiatives
  • Providing clinical advice
  • Supporting public health campaigns, including immunisations and flu vaccination initiatives
  • Ensuring compliance with CQC standards and health, safety, and infection control policies
  • Working collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient care
  • Advocating for patients, ensuring clear communication about their treatment options
  • Fostering a supportive and efficient team environment
What you need
  • Degree in pharmacy
  • Independent prescriber
  • Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience
  • Minimum 2 years experience working in general practice
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision remotely, with excellent organisational skills
Salary & location

£30.00 per hour – Remote, Liverpool. Bank contract with flexible shift bidding.
