Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Deliver care within the 12-bedded IPU and community.
  • Provide emotional and social support to patients and families.
  • Involved in the delivery of education with the Senior Nursing team.
  • Lead and develop relationships with the Hospice MDT.
  • Provide on call provision as part of the medical rota.

Hours: 37.5 hours / week

Salary: £50,861 - £59,159 per annum

Holiday: 35 days per annum (including public holidays) pro-rata

Shift pattern: 12 hour shifts - Monday to Friday with 1 weekend in 4 on call

What you'll be doing…

Reporting to the Nurse Manager, you can expect your working day to include the following:

  • As one of our ACNS/ANPs, you will be able to use your excellent clinical and communication skills to work as part of the Senior Nursing and Medical team, delivering care within our 12-bedded IPU, virtually to our community and to acute services.
  • You will provide practical, emotional and social support to patients with life limiting illness and their families/carers.
  • Along with the Practice Learning and Development Lead and Senior Nursing team, you will be actively involved it the delivery of education.
  • Working in collaboration, you will lead & develop relationships with the Hospice MDT.
  • Provide on call provision as part of the medical rota.
