Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a Band 7 Advanced Practitioner Occupational Therapist to join the Children’s Occupational Therapy Service in Lochgilphead, Argyll and Bute. The post involves delivering highly specialist assessments and interventions for children and young people, with leadership in professional practice across the service.

You will provide supervision and guidance to the team, influence service development, and work collaboratively with partners across health, education and social care

Qualifications

• Must hold HCPC registration and have at least five years post-qualification experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Willingness to travel across Mid Argyll, Kintyre and Islay to support service delivery.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver highly specialist assessment and intervention for children and young people.
• Provide professional guidance, supervision and support to the Children’s Occupational Therapy team.
• Lead professional practice development and contribute to service improvement.
• Collaborate with health, education and social care colleagues in a rural setting.
