Barts Heart and Thorax Centre (BHTC) is looking for an Advanced Cardiac MRI Radiographer to join our team for a period of 12 months full time to cover maternity leave. Cardiac Imaging is made up of 3 dedicated Siemens Cardiac Magnetic Resonance (CMR) Imaging scanners and a Siemens Cardiac CT (CCT) scanner. We also have 10 Cardiac Catheter Labs, with plans to further expand our services within this site and across the Trust.
The department has won awards for and is a National Leader in scanning patients with Cardiac devices. As part of BHTC, we carry out a large amount of research and complex scanning with plenty of opportunities to get involved. We are immensely proud to have many of our Radiographers publishing research and representing us at conferences both in the UK and around the World.
Interview will be the week beginning 15th December
The post holder will work as an Advanced Radiographer specialised in Cardiac MRI, where they will be responsible for a variable caseload of patients. They will be an advocate for radiographer professional development and use their advanced knowledge to support specialist radiographer education and training.
Patients will present with a full range of complex conditions and the post holder will be responsible for carrying out the appropriate diagnostic procedures to support the diagnosis of complex conditions. The post holder will supervise, support and assist students and junior radiographers in service delivery and personal development.
The working pattern within the department is currently comprised of 4x 9.5hr shifts per week, often with optional weekend lists available on the staff bank.
