Job summary

Pearson in the United Kingdom is seeking an Advanced Associate to support the Traditional Processing, Ondemand and Onscreen Team within the Qualification Processing Department. The role covers end-to-end processing of T Level qualification assessments, including paper and electronic submissions, marking, and result closure.

You will handle data input, QA checks, and stakeholder communications to ensure timely SLAs and quality results.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel; ability to create and edit formulas.
  • General office experience and familiarity with established processes.
  • Educated to A Level or equivalent with English and Mathematics GCSE.

Responsibilities

  • Processing T Level qualification assessment materials from receipt to result.
  • Capture and report on management information (MI).
  • Manage marked and unmarked processes and post-result activities.
  • Contact centres, examiners and internal teams to ensure SLA-aligned results.
  • Input data from scripts/mark grids and process paper-based material.
  • Perform QA checks on results and communicate issues clearly.
  • Prioritise workload and, during peaks, train/lead seasonal staff.

Advanced Associate, Professional Services
Your Opportunity
  • A full-time permanent role working 37.5 hours per week
  • You will join our Traditional Processing, Ondemand and Onscreen Team which is part of the Qualification Processing Department. The department consists of several areas which work together to deliver General Qualifications, Vocational Qualification and On-demand Qualifications.
  • The team are responsible for various processes, including the result resolution and closedown of results for paper based and onscreen tests, T Level and PEIC processing and closure, candidate malpractice, traditional processing of examination papers, and item level mark capture for series-based qualifications.
  • You will be required to support all processing activities within the team as priorities dictate.
Your primary responsibilities
  • Processing of T Level Qualification assessment material from receipt to result, including paper based and electronic submissions
  • Capture and report on MI
  • Processing the unmarked process (managing the receipt of material and sharing with examiners), marked process (monitoring the marking progress and capturing the marks, including item level mark data) and result closure activity for T Level qualifications including Post Result activity
  • Contacting centres, examiners, internal teams to ensure results are issued to Service Level Agreements (SLA) via Teams, telephone, email and video conferencing
  • Data input activity from marked scripts/mark grids and processing of paper-based examination material from receipt to result
  • Complete QA checks on results
  • Effectively communicate and escape key issues, or threats to SLA
  • Manage own workload to ensure effective prioritisation
  • During peak processing periods train and lead a small team of seasonal staff in line with Pearson's policy, procedures, and values
  • Work in other areas of the business as required

Previous Experience and Qualifications

Essentials

  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel as extensive use of spreadsheets is required Must be able to create and edit formulas etc. with Excel.
  • General office experience.
  • Working to set processes/work instructions
  • Educated to A Level or equivalent in addition to English and Mathematics GCSE (grade C/4 or above) or equivalent

Desirable

  • Advanced Excel skills such as Macro/Power Query
  • Good working knowledge and use of SharePoint
  • Communication skills from working with external / internal customers
  • Previous experience and knowledge of working within an awarding body
