Advanced Anaesthetic Practitioner / ODP/ Anaesthetic Nurse

Band 6

Croydon University Hospital is recruiting highly motivated and experienced Operating Department Practitioner / Anaesthetic Nurse (ODP/AN) to join our high‑performing theatre team. With a focus on Anaesthetics, this is your opportunity to work alongside some of the region’s most experienced consultants and take your career to the next level.

We are seeking qualified professionals with excellent anaesthetic skills. They must be able to lead a team of junior staff in liaison with Band 7 managers.

Our Croydon Elective Centre consists of nine operating theatres. Specialties include:

  • Orthopaedics
  • Urology
  • Gynaecology
  • General
  • Colo‑rectal
  • Upper and Lower GI
  • Breast
  • Max‑Fax
  • ENT
  • Paediatrics (ENT, Ortho and General)

As a senior ODP/Anaesthetic Practitioner, you will assist our anaesthetists in safe care, not only in a theatre setting but also in outlying areas such as:

  • Interventional Radiology, X‑ray and Endoscopy suites
  • Emergency Surgical Centre
  • ED / Resus
  • Obstetrics department

You should be competent, proactive, and flexible with a keen eye for detail to maintain our excellent care standards.

Interviews will take place on 28th November 2025.
