Job Description

Qualified Social Workers required within the Mental Health Team

3 Month Contract (Possible extension)

Rate £38 Per hour (Umbrella Rate)

Location: Basingstoke

Skills and Experience Required
  • Provide support and therapy to individuals and families experiencing mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, or substance misuse, using a strengths‑based approach.
  • Conduct assessments (psychosocial, risk, care needs) to establish diagnoses and identify required support.
  • Develop and monitor individualised care plans, in collaboration with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Undertake crisis intervention and risk management, safeguarding vulnerable individuals using frameworks like the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, or Care Act.
  • Advocate for clients' rights and coordinate with community, statutory, and voluntary services to ensure access to resources and promote social inclusion.
  • Provide therapy and counselling through one‑to‑one or group sessions using evidence‑based models such as CBT or DBT.
  • Maintain accurate records, case notes, progress documentation, and adhere to confidentiality and ethical standards.
  • Support carers and families, offering psycho‑education, emotional support, and inclusion in recovery planning.
