Job description
Adults Safeguarding Social Worker, Swansea

This is a temporary position for 3 months initially.

Social Worker will be office based in the Guildhall, Swansea on Tuesday's and Wednesday's. The remainder of the week can be home based. This is a full time position of 37 hours.

Pay - £41.58 per hour.

Role Overview

The Adult Safeguarding Team is a dynamic, busy team that handles Adult at Risk Reports, undertakes Section 126 enquiries in line with the All-Wales Safeguarding Procedures, provides advice and guidance on safeguarding issues, attends Multi-agency Safeguarding Meetings (MAPPA & MARAC), undertakes suicide prevention work and advocates preventive measures to keep citizens in Swansea safe from harm. Using a person-centred collaborative approach, the team offers consistent advice and guidance to colleagues, the citizens of Swansea and partner agencies in line with Wales Safeguarding Procedures.

You will be part of a small, well-supported, friendly team, with excellent working relationships and a strong reputation with partner agencies. The team enjoys weekly catch-ups, peer group sessions for case discussion and reflective practice, providing learning opportunities.
