Occupational Therapist – Adult Social Care – Local Authority (Blackburn)

Contract: Full-time | Initial 3-6 months with potential for extension

A local authority located in North East London is looking to recruit an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a well-structured team. Main Duties
  • Experience required working with adults
  • Review care packages and provision of moving and handling equipment
  • Complete Care Act assessments
  • Conduct community assessments in a local authority setting, identifying needs and recommending both standard and specialist equipment
  • Plan and facilitate minor and major adaptations to enhance safety and functionality within clients' homes
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and other professionals to create individualized support plans
  • Assess individuals and carers with complex needs in the home environment
  • Recommend and coordinate equipment and adaptations
  • Undertake manual handling assessments
  • Work in line with safeguarding procedures, promoting dignity and respect
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years post-qualified experience
  • Previous experience as a community-based Occupational Therapist
  • Manual handling expertise
  • HCPC Registration

  • Eligibility to work in the UK
