Job summary

Safeguarding Practitioner role within the Adult Safeguarding Hub at Wokingham Borough Council. You will respond to concerns, apply thresholds, assess risk and complete Initial Assessments, helping adults stay safe and achieve positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Social Work, Nursing or Occupational Therapy qualification is required.
• Excellent communication and ability to engage all stakeholders.
• Experience with safeguarding adults and responding to concerns.

Responsibilities

• Respond to Adult Safeguarding concerns, applying thresholds, and completing Initial Assessments where needed.
• Lead Section 42 enquiries and coordinate investigations by providers or partners.
• Support quality assurance through provider visits and safeguarding activity.
• Participate in organisational abuse enquiries and contribute to learning and improvement.
• Work proactively with partners on safeguarding initiatives and local strategies.
• Deliver safeguarding training and workshops appropriate to experience.
