Job Summary

We are looking for a compassionate Crisis Worker to provide dedicated support to victims of sexual assault at the Topaz Centre SARC in Nottinghamshire. The role is permanent, part‑time, and crucial to providing advocate and forensic support to service users.

Location & Working Pattern

Location: The Topaz Centre SARC, Nottinghamshire. Working patterns: shifts 08:00‑18:30 & 18:30‑08:00, covering days, nights, weekends. Permanent, part‑time.

Salary & Pay

Shift retainer £40.11‑£51.57 (Mon‑Fri), £51.61‑£67.91 (Sat‑Sun). Additional attendance payment £46.50 per case, £15.50 per hour call‑out rate.

Key Responsibilities
  • First point of contact for service users.
  • Support the process of service users and their families visiting the centre, including preparing the patient and assisting with the collection of forensic evidence.
  • Maintain a high standard of DNA anti‑contamination between forensic cases.
  • Assist patients and liaise with other agencies regarding the management of the service user pathway.
  • Act as an advocate during the time patients spend at the SARC.
  • Be a key player within the SARC team and the wider company network.
Qualifications & Essential Skills
  • IT skills and basic administration.
  • Experience working in a supportive or customer‑focused environment.
  • Kind, caring nature.
  • Knowledge and understanding of confidentiality.
  • Female applicant only – genuine occupational qualification under the Sex Discrimination Act (Section 7(2)b & 7(2)e).
  • UK driving licence and vehicle access for travel across SARC sites.
  • Advanced DBS and Level 2 Police vetting.
