Job summary

East Riding of Yorkshire Council's Goole Adult Learning Centre is seeking an enthusiastic Adult Learning Tutor for Maths to support accredited and non-accredited courses for adults.

You will deliver across the Maths pathway at Goole Adult Learning Centre, adapt to learner needs, use inclusive teaching methods, and help learners build confidence and numeracy skills for employability. The role involves engaging, practical activities and ongoing assessment to monitor progress.

Qualifications

• Must be suitably qualified and able to teach maths to adults.
• Experience delivering accredited and non-accredited courses.

The East Riding of Yorkshire Council Adult Learning and Employability team delivers employment support, learning and skills training to adults across the East Riding and beyond.

We have learning centres in Beverley, Bridlington, Cottingham and Goole and deliver a range of face-to-face and virtual learning opportunities. These include:

• accredited qualifications to help learners develop their skills and progress towards their employment goals
• Maths, English and digital courses
• Tailored Learning courses that support learners to develop their knowledge, confidence and wellbeing
• commercial courses for learners who want to develop a new skill or technique

We would particularly like to hear from applicants who can deliver across our Maths pathway at Goole Adult Learning Centre.

To teach with us, you must be suitably qualified, have good knowledge of the subject you wish to teach and be able to share your knowledge with adult learners in a supportive, responsive and engaging way.
