We are recruiting a full‑time ESOL tutor to join our team at Inspire Learning, teaching across Nottinghamshire and online. We require a well‑qualified tutor (CELTA L5 or equivalent) with experience delivering high‑quality accredited and non‑accredited ESOL, from entry level to Level 2, for mixed‑language, mixed‑level adult learners. The tutor may design and deliver family learning ESOL, develop enrichment work and collaborate with other tutors to extend our curriculum to ESOL learners. Knowledge of assessment and IQA processes is desirable. Teaching hours include daytime, evening and some weekend courses.

Full‑Time Adult Learning Tutor

Job Purpose
To plan and deliver teaching and training on accredited and non‑accredited adult learning programmes across Nottinghamshire’s seven districts, support learners, contribute to curriculum development, and undertake related tasks such as learning support, invigilation and promotion.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver an agreed programme of 800 hours per year of accredited and tailored adult learning across Nottinghamshire and online, including evening and weekend teaching.
- Support learners throughout their learning journey, taking responsibility for assessment, learning support processes, quality teaching and learning and end‑of‑course evaluation.
- Continuously improve teaching and learning and positively engage with quality initiatives such as OTLAs.
- Contribute positively to curriculum and teaching and learning development, including active contributions to curriculum teams and relevant working groups.
- Undertake associated tasks such as learning support, invigilation and events.
- Support programme and curriculum‑related events and marketing.
- Take ownership of personal and professional development in line with the ETF Professional Standards for Teaching.
- Undertake appropriate administrative tasks in a timely manner.
- Produce an annual Self‑Assessment Report (SAR) and work positively towards the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
- Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures, including the Prevent Strategy, are adhered to and actively promote equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Work in accordance with all Inspire policies, procedures, brand guidelines, contractual requirements and professional best practice.
- Perform any duties or tasks assigned by management required to meet service needs.
- Assume the role of Appointed Person and/or First Aider as required.
Education and Knowledge Requirements
- Hold or be willing to work towards a level 4 teaching qualification.
- GCSE A‑C (4‑9) or equivalent in English and maths.
- Hold or be willing to work towards an assessor qualification.
- Understanding of ESFA funded training programmes.
- Understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures, including the Prevent Strategy.
- Understanding of the Education Inspection Framework.
- Awareness of health and safety issues and legislation in relation to learning delivery.
- Understanding of equal opportunities policies and procedures.
Skills and Experience
- Experience working with adults, including those with learning difficulties and disabilities.
- Experience delivering and assessing ASF formula and non‑formula funded programmes to a high standard.
- Experience planning, writing, delivering and evaluating ASF formula and non‑formula funded programmes.
- Ability to effectively review, monitor and offer guidance and support to adults.
Role Dimensions
- Provide adults with appropriate ASF funded formula and non‑formula training and teaching, leading them to reach their learning goals and achieve success on programmes delivering 800 hours per year, including evening and weekend courses.
- Actively promote the Services quality of adult learning provision, both non‑accredited and accredited.
