Caritas Recruitment Limited is supporting a local authority in Manchester to recruit an Adult Social Worker for a Learning Disabilities team. You will carry out strengths-based assessments, develop and review care and support plans, and collaborate with individuals, families, carers and partner agencies to promote choice and independence.

The role involves safeguarding, risk management, mental capacity assessments and best-interest decision-making, with accurate recording and clear communication

Qualifikationen

• Recognised Social Work qualification and current SW England registration.
• Post-qualification experience in adult social care, ideally learning disabilities.
• Sound knowledge of Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and safeguarding procedures.
• Strong assessment, report-writing and partnership-working skills.

• Assess eligibility and arrange and review appropriate support.
• Coordinate transitions and respond to safeguarding concerns.
• Contribute to crisis intervention and risk management as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and effective professional communication.
