We offer a structured orientation and on‑going mentorship support to guide your progress through the early stages of your Emergency nursing career. We follow the RCN national emergency nursing framework competencies. Our experienced PDN and senior nurse team will support you in achieving these competencies at level one, with a mapped pathway into our ED and trauma courses at level two. Our Department offers the successful candidate a unique learning environment to enable the achievement of your learning objectives.
When submitting your application, in your supporting statement please describe a time you have had to prioritise care for multiple patients in a fast‑paced clinical environment. Explain how you made decisions, what tools or systems supported you, and how you achieved a positive outcome?
Please note, this advert may close early if sufficient applications are received before the closing date.
Our department is also able to offer several exciting secondment prospects including the Physician Response Unit. This opportunity, unique to our department, incorporates a nurse into the pre‑hospital MDT response unit. Nurses who successfully pass their development programme will be integrated into our sister service the REACH (Rapid Emergency Assessment Coordination HUB), a pioneering service offering emergency care in the community. We encourage "nurse champions" to take a lead in an area of care that interests you and support the team in project work for quality improvement.
