This exciting role is based at Basildon Hospital, but you'll also play a key part in supporting red cell disorder services across other MSE sites. You'll work closely with primary care teams and even review patients in the community - helping us deliver outstanding care where it matters most.

  • Support and lead the Hydroxycarbamide clinic, including monitoring, education, titration, and adherence counselling for patients on disease-modifying therapies.
  • Deliver high-quality community-based care, including home reviews, patient education, early intervention, and liaison with primary care and community services.
  • Conduct specialist assessments and reviews of patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings, ensuring holistic and person-centred care planning.
  • Act as a point of contact for patients and families, providing expert advice and support regarding sickle cell disease management and treatment options.
