Qualifications

Location: Nationwide Opportunities Available

Dates: ASAP - Ongoing

Hours: Typically 08:30 - 18:30, availability across 7-day services

Pay: £250 per completed assessment (Outside IR35)

IDMCS, part of ID Medical Group, is expanding its specialist autism diagnostic service and is looking for experienced ADOS-trained clinicians to join a growing multidisciplinary team.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to reducing waiting times, accelerating diagnoses, and improving outcomes for children and families.

The Role

Working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will:

  • Conduct face-to-face ADOS-2 assessments using the appropriate module for the child's age and ability.
  • Record detailed behavioural observations.
  • Contribute findings to the MDT diagnostic discussion.
  • Support consultant clinicians in providing same‑day feedback to families.
  • Provide concise written summaries of your ADOS findings to support the diagnostic report.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and safeguarding standards.

Each assessment includes observation, scoring, MDT discussion, reporting and feedback. Clinics are typically scheduled for four assessments per day.

Who We're Looking For

We welcome applications from the following HCPC or NMC registered professionals with formal ADOS-2 or ADI-R training and experience:

  • Occupational Therapists
  • Speech and Language Therapists
  • Psychologists (Clinical, Counselling or Forensic)
  • Registered Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurses

You will need demonstrable experience in autism diagnostic assessments, full safeguarding training, and an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
