We very much promote flexible working. This role can be based in our Harrogate, Scarborough or Selby offices. You may at times, be required to work from other bases across the county.

North Yorkshire Council have a national reputation for excellence, and we are looking for an Adoption Family Support Worker with a variety of experience and skills to join our Adoption Team.

North Yorkshire Council’s adoption service is part of One Adoption North and Humber, a high performing regional adoption agency.

One Adoption North and Humber is committed to providing timely, high-quality services to meet the needs of children who need permanence through adoption. You will be part of a highly acclaimed, supportive service that has a comprehensive programme to ensure all staff have a thorough induction and receive ongoing support from managers. About the Role

Working in the adoption team is an exciting, challenging, unique and rewarding job. As a Family Support Worker, you will be a team player, completing pieces of work including direct work with children and families, leading initiatives for supporting families, such as parenting support, maintaining relationships between adopted children and their birth family and working alongside the social workers to deliver support to our children and families.
