Job summary

Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust seeks an experienced mental health clinician to champion youth justice mental health care in East Hertfordshire. You will assess needs, deliver specialist interventions and manage a varied caseload within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary setting.

You will provide consultation and training to colleagues across Youth Justice and wider health services while developing your leadership and clinical expertise in a challenging but rewarding

Qualifications

• RMN/RN (MH) / Social Work Qualification/ HCPC Registered
• BSc in Mental Health Practice or equivalent or substantial Post qualifying experience in CYPMHS
• Mentoring and assessing students qualification

Responsibilities

• Assess the health and mental health needs of children open to the Youth Justice Service.
• Lead on specialist mental health assessments and provide expert clinical advice.
• Manage a defined caseload and deliver tailored interventions to young people involved in the criminal justice system.
• Develop, implement and evaluate individualised care plans.
• Work collaboratively with youth justice, social care and health professionals to coordinate appropriate support and referrals.
• Provide specialist consultation, guidance and training to youth justice colleagues and wider health professionals, including GPs, school nurses and CYPMHS teams.
