Job summary

Overview

TRC is looking for an experienced ADMS Engineer to join our Intelligent Grid Solutions team in the EMEA Delivery team to support the Energy Control Systems (ECS) practice. This role is focused on the engineering, configuration, and integration of Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) platforms, including SCADA, DMS, OMS, and DERMS components. The role combines deep technicalexpertisewith hands-on delivery across utility programmes.

Responsibilities

1. Engineering & Technical Expertise
   1. Support delivery of ADMS programmes across SCADA, OMS, DMS, and DERMS systems
   2. Perform hands-on system engineering including configuration, model build, and testing
   3. Develop andmaintainnetwork models (CIM, topology, connectivity)

2. Client Engagement
   1. Act as trusted advisor to utility stakeholders (IT, OT, and operations)
   2. Support design workshops, steering committees, and technical governance forums
   3. Support Translating complex technical concepts into business outcomes and value
   4. Expand customer relationships to drive continued engagement
3. Integration & Cross-Practice Collaboration
   1. Drive integration across:
   2. GIS (network model alignment)
   3. AMI/Smart systems (event and outage data flows)
   4. Markets (flexibility and DER participation)
   5. Enterprise IT systems
   6. Ensure alignment with client enterprise architecture and digital strategy
4. Technical Risk Management
   1. Identify and mitigate technical risks specific to ADMS delivery with the PM, including:
   2. Data quality and network model challenges
   3. Integration complexity across OT/IT boundaries
   4. Real-time system performance and stability
   5. Implement structured mitigation and contingency strategies
5. Innovation and Technology Trends
   1. Stay current with ADMS vendor evolution and industry trends
   2. Promote innovation in grid operations
   3. Vendor technology expertise
   4. Contribute to development of TRC delivery accelerators and methodologies

Qualifications

1. 5+ years of consultancy, advisory and/or delivery experience is required. A significant portion of this experience is expected to come from the utility industry
2. Experience with ADMS vendors is essential
3. knowledge of SCADA, DMS, OMS, DERMS and grid operations
4. understanding of CIM standards, IEC protocols, and integration architectures
5. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
6. Experience with cloud or hybrid OT architectures is desirable
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
8. In depth technical experience and utility industry knowledge
9. Collaborative nature and willing to share knowledge across broader teams while contributing to reusable collateral
10. Ability to interact with client teams at all levels within the organization including executives and client sponsors to the end users of the system.
11. Experience with utility standards such as IEC-60870-5-104, ICCP, IEC 61968/ 61970/62325 (CIM)
12. Travel: Up to 50% travel throughout Europe

Compensation

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation:Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
