Job description

You’ll be a key team member who works as part of the wider admissions team to secure school place offers for children and young people in Leeds. The role is integral in the team and supports the administration of the normal round and in‑year transfer processes. This role is focussed on data entry, administrative duties and speaking to parents and schools to give advice on the school admissions processes.

Responsibilities
  • Administer all types of admissions processes and identify and support process improvements.
  • Deal with queries from parents, schools and other professionals on a day‑to‑day basis.
  • Advise on the school admissions process both in writing and by phone.
  • Maintain all records in a timely, accurate and effective way.
  • Attend face‑to‑face events to provide admissions advice and information when required.
  • Carry out all duties within the spirit of the post and the job evaluation outcome.
  • Understand and embrace Leeds City Council values, behaviours and codes of conduct.
  • Commit to continuous improvement and work towards delivering the Best City ambitions of Health & Wellbeing, Inclusive Growth and Zero Carbon.

This role is based in the UK. Candidates must evidence their right to work in the UK before commencing employment, either as a UK or Irish citizen, under the EU Settlement Scheme, or by holding a relevant work visa.
