Essex and Suffolk Water is hiring an Administrator to join the Water Resources and Supply Strategy team on a 6-month contract. This role is ideal for a proactive and organised individual who thrives in a varied administrative role and enjoys supporting multiple teams within a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

As an Administrator, you will provide vital support to both the Demand Planning and Water Resources teams. Your role will involve data input, customer communication support, coordination of planning consultation responses, and general administrative tasks that keep operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support for various projects, including customer recruitment, data checking, data input, and data cleaning
  • Input customer contact details into the corporate reporting system
  • Assist with monthly data collection for the company’s annual regulatory water balance return
  • Support the Local Planning Liaison Officer by coordinating planning application responses, organising local authority communication events, and supporting data collection
  • Carry out mail merges and prepare mail-outs
  • Order and maintain stationery supplies, ensuring consistent stock levels
  • Provide general administrative support including raising contractor invoices and assisting with accommodation, travel, and taxi bookings
  • Manage shared mailboxes for both Demand Planning and Supply teams
  • Order PPE and company uniform for the Water Resources team
About You
Essential Skills
  • Experience in general administration
  • Comfortable liaising with internal teams
  • Experience working with external organisations or customers
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
Desirable Knowledge
  • Understanding of local authority planning processes
  • Knowledge of Water Resources or Demand Planning
