Administrator / Secretary – Property Development

Location: Reading (Central, 5 minutes from Reading Station)
Salary: Dependent on Experience (DOE)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

TSR Legal are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading law firm who are seeking an Administrator / Secretary to join their busy Property Development and House Building Team based in central Reading.

Reporting directly to one of the Partners, you will provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the team, assisting with a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient running of day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing administrative and secretarial support to the Property Development team.
  • Preparing correspondence and documentation, including audio/digital dictation.
  • Liaising with clients and third parties via telephone and email on behalf of fee earners.
  • Assisting with Land Registry (HMLR) and SDLT processes.
  • Managing diaries, arranging meetings, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Opening, closing, and archiving client files in accordance with firm procedures.
  • Supporting the preparation of legal documents and forms.
  • Performing general office and administrative duties as required.
Experience and Attributes Required – Essential
  • Minimum of 1 year’s experience as an Administrator or Secretary within a legal environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Confident in liaising with clients and colleagues at all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages and comfortable using legal IT systems.
  • Strong keyboard skills and general technical ability.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
  • Previous experience supporting a property or real estate team.
  • Familiarity with HMLR and SDLT processes.
Working Arrangements

The successful candidate will ideally be office-based four days per week, with some flexibility available for the right person.
