An exciting opportunity hasarisen to join our friendly team at the brand-new THH Southend HealthCentre, opening in January 2026. We are seeking enthusiastic,motivated individuals to deliver high-quality administrativeand reception services in a busy, patient-focused environment.

The role will involve warmlywelcoming patients, managing appointments, handling enquiries, and ensuring thesmooth and efficient running of front-desk operations.

THH Southend Hub will be open for a 7 day a week service, weekend working will be required with your role.

Main duties of the job

The Administrator &Receptionist is responsible for delivering high-quality administrative supportand reception services. This includes warmly welcoming patients, managingappointments, and ensuringefficient front-desk operations. Support the reception function across all sites if required.

Job responsibilities
  • Provide reception and administration support to our THHclinic ensuring a seamlesspatient journey for all.
  • Greet and welcome patientsand visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Manage appointment bookings, cancellations, and rescheduling.
  • Handle incoming phone callsand direct inquiriesappropriate.
  • Maintain accurate patient recordsand ensure confidentiality at all times.
  • Support the daily operations of the receptionarea to ensure a smooth and organised workflow.
  • Ensure that data held for visitorsis accurate within the electronic filing systems
  • Provide cross-cover for generalreception areas acrossthe four main THH sites (Grays, Fobbing, Basildon,Southend) when required.
  • Assist in maintaining and improving our administration standards

Person Specification
Experience
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a professional telephone manner
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
  • Accurate data entry and attention to details
  • Previous experience in an administrative or receptionist role
  • Experience working in a healthcare or customer-focused environment
  • Familiarity with handling confidential information
