A local government council is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join their Employee Service Centre. This role involves processing payroll and handling contract changes accurately. We are looking for a Payroll Administrator to join our busy Employee Service Centre (ESC).
The ESC is a busy transactional service that forms part of East Midlands Shared Services. We provide transactional Payroll and HR Administration services to Nottingham City Council and Leicestershire County Council.
If variety is what you are looking for then, no two days are the same in the ESC, as there is always something to focus on. The ESC completes over 40,000 payments each month, produces over 3,000 contractual documents and handles in excess of 2,000 queries each month.
As a Payroll Administrator you will work as part of a team to process new starters and any changes to a person's contract that affects pay. Attention to detail is a must, as you will check accuracy of pay and ensure that people are paid on time and correctly.
Full training will be given.
This post is currently a fixed term contract for 12 months. There is a possibility that this will become a permanent position.
