Administrator / Engineering Administrative Assistant – Part Time

A proactive and well‑organised Administrator / Engineering Administrative Assistant supporting engineering activities, ensuring accurate documentation, database management and smooth office operations within a fast‑paced environment.

Location: Great Yarmouth, Norfolk (NR31)
Job Type: Part‑Time, Permanent
Working Hours: 16 to 20 hours per week, hours and days to be agreed

Job Overview

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Administrator / Engineering Administrative Assistant who enjoys working in a busy engineering environment where accuracy and organisation are key.

As an Administrator / Engineering Administrative Assistant you will support the Welding Inspector and wider Quality Department by coordinating documentation, maintaining compliance records and ensuring smooth administrative workflows.

The Administrator / Engineering Administrative Assistant will use strong communication skills, data entry accuracy, and excellent IT capability to manage technical files, digital records and office documentation within structured procedures.

Duties
  • Administration Support: Provide comprehensive administration assistance within engineering‑related activities
  • Documentation Management: Maintain technical documentation and compliance records
  • Data Entry: Carry out accurate data input, retrieval and database updates
  • File Organisation: Organise physical and digital filing systems
  • Document Creation: Produce documents, spreadsheets and presentations
  • Archiving: Archive records in line with compliance and quality procedures
Candidate Requirements
  • Proven experience of working in an administrative role within an engineering environment
