Overview

Administrator/Customer Care – Longtown, Carlisle

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £12.64 per hour

Contract: Temporary for approximately 6 weeks, with potential for permanent employment for the right candidate.

Location and department: Customer Care function within the organisation.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out daily administrative and pricing-related tasks to ensure accurate billing, service alignment, and depot coordination.
  • Manage discrepancy investigations, process price amendments, and liaise with depots to update and action jobs in line with agreed processes and timescales.
  • Support the Customer Care function to maintain financial and operational accuracy.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Previous experience in administration, pricing, or operational support.
Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to triage, escalate, and negotiate effectively using your own initiative.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and time management skills.
  • Ability to investigate discrepancies and work to deadlines.
  • Organised – able to manage inboxes and reporting tasks with ease.
  • Competent with CRM or ticketing systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills, including experience with spreadsheets and computer-based systems, including Microsoft products.
