Administrative Assistant / Receptionist - Wimborne

Are you an organised and confident professional looking for an immediate start in a busy manufacturing environment?

We are seeking a proactive and collaborative Administrative Assistant to take on a dual role, providing administrative support while managing the reception area at our Wimborne facility. This is an exciting 6-month contract with the potential to move to a permanent position.

The Role and Impact

You will be the face of the business, based in reception , providing administrative support to a team, including vice president level positions. This position offers great exposure to different parties within the business.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Greeting visitors, especially those for witness testing on engines, and assisting with Restricted Party Screening (RPS).
  • Answering the telephone, taking messages, and answering routine questions.
  • Typing and distributing memos, meeting minutes, and presentations.
  • Facilitating domestic and international travel arrangements, payments, and expense processing.
  • Maintaining staff vacation schedules and master whereabouts.
Candidate Requirements

We are looking for someone with around one year of experience in any office-based or receptionist role.

Top 3 Must-Have Skills:
  1. Collaborative attitude and being a team player.
  2. Confident written and verbal communicator.
  3. Organised, with good time-keeping and a 'can-do' attitude.
Technical Skills:
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 packages (Outlook, Word, Teams, Excel).
  • Ability to accurately process detailed information and manage multiple concurrent activities.

  • Contract: 6 months (Possible move to permanent)
  • Working Hours: 39 hours per week (e.g., Mon-Thurs 07:50 - 16:50; Fri 07:50 - 13:00)
