Communication Matters is seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to join our team as an Administrator.

The role is busy, varied and rewarding. You can expect to organise events and meetings, help maintain social media channels, distribute digital newsletters, and process membership applications. Having good administrative, communication and organisational skills is essential!

The successful candidate will have a can-do attitude and be able to take on a wide variety of administrative tasks and responsibilities.

🤝Responsible to: Operations Manager

🏦Salary: £23,881 per annum (6% pension contribution)

📝Type of contract: Permanent

⏱️Hours: Full-time (5 days/35 hours a week)

🏖️Holidays: 28 days per year (including Bank Holidays). In addition, the office closes between Christmas Eve and New Year!

📍Location: The University of Leeds, with some working from home considered

ABOUT US

Communication Matters/CM www.communicationmatters.org.uk is a national charity and a company limited by guarantee. It is run by a Board of volunteer Trustees/Directors who, in turn, employ two members of staff. The charity exists to support people who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) in their basic human right to communicate, be included and heard in an equitable society.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with excellent IT skills and administrative experience to support Communication Matters in achieving the charity’s mission.

Tasks will include:
  • assisting with the organisation of events such as Study Days, AAC Information Days and an Annual International Conference,
  • processing memberships,
  • supporting the production and distribution of the CM Journal and weekly newsletter,
  • organising Board meetings and;
  • helping to maintain the CM social media presence, including its website.
