Job description
Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic Administrative Team Leader to lead the Single Point of Access (SPA) team within Community Services. The SPA hub manages referrals from GPs, patients, hospitals and community IPUs. As leader you will supervise a team of seven call handlers, ensuring smooth operation and excellent service delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Provide day‑to‑day supervision, coordination, and management of the SPA team, including rota planning and staff deployment.
  • Oversee the efficient running of the SPA service, ensuring all service user contact is handled professionally and courteously.
  • Resolve written and verbal enquiries, maintaining internal processes and service standards.
  • Analyse situations and make informed decisions to support effective service delivery.
  • Review and improve working practices, propose changes to enhance efficiency, and support implementation of new processes in collaboration with wider Community teams.
Qualifications
  • Educated to NVQ Level 4/5, BTEC Level Higher National Diploma & Certificate (HND/C) or equivalent.
  • Previous administrative experience (minimum 2 years) and at least 6 months staff management/supervisory experience.
  • Experience dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proactive, organised, confident in leading a team.
  • Experience of call handling or telephony services (desirable).
