Job description
Administrative Support for Immunisation Project

This role willprovide administrative support to the Clinical Lead of the ImmunisationImprovement Project.

The post holderwill support the Clinical Lead improve immunisation uptake across the boroughby cleansing data, recoding incorrect information, improving recall processes,developing robust processes to deliver immunisations and actively call patientsto book appointments.

Main duties of the job
  • Analysing immunisationreports from various sources including CHIS and QOF.
  • Cleansing data andcorrecting incorrect codes on GP practice clinical systems.
  • Telephoning patients andbooking immunisation appointments on behalf of GP practices.
  • Work collaboratively withthe Clinical Lead and independently where required.
  • Aiding the design andmaintenance of accurate databases and records. Collating and entering data andproducing reports.
  • Maintaining effective, up todate secure and appropriately accessible records management systems as per GDPRand Data Security requirements.
  • Supporting the development,implementation and maintenance of best practice administrative processes andsystems.
  • Ad hoc tasks and projects as required.

Person Specification
Knowledge
  • Excellent knowledge of IT systems and software programs including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of equal opportunity and diversity issues

  • Knowledge of childhood immunisation schedule
Qualifications
  • GCSE Passes at grade C or above or equivalent experience
  • Evidence of consistent pattern of learning from education, training and experience
  • Evidence of working autonomously and as part of a team
  • RSA qualification or equivalent experience including word and excel
Experience
  • Significant administrative / secretarial experience including maintaining office systems.
  • Demonstrable experience dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Previous experience of working in primary care, the NHS or Social Care
  • Evidence of working autonomously and as part of a team
  • Experience and / or a good understanding of General Practice
  • Contribute to the population and analysis of QOF reports
Skills
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work under pressure in an organised way
  • Well-developed word processing/data collection/IT skills
  • Excellent communicator with good verbal, written, data entry and presentation skills: capable of constructing and delivering clear information/ instructions to staff and service users
