Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Crime and Criminal Justice for an Administrative Support Assistant. In this role you will contribute to and support the Crime and Criminal Justice Department, supporting the day to day functions of the office.

Duties will include a range of administrative functions including diary management, minute taking, ordering supplies, email enquiries, telephone calls, handling and creating correspondence, and maintaining databases.

A good standard of education is required with excellent literacy skills and previous experience in minute taking is desirable. Other essential qualities are the ability to remain calm under pressure, excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, and an understanding of the need for confidentiality.

A full driving licence is considered essential as capability to travel across the Force is required to help organise events such as commendation ceremonies, conferences and to occasionally attend meetings to take minutes.
