We are looking for an Administrative Support Assistant to join our Permanency Planning and Support Team, providing high-quality business support to help us deliver timely, effective services to children, young people, their families, and carers.

About the Role

As an Administrative Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring our service meets its statutory responsibilities and functions smoothly. • Completing a range of administrative tasks that support the day‑to‑day work of the team.
  • Supporting children, families, and partner agencies to access the service effectively.

  • Collating and presenting service data and assisting with project work and information gathering.
  • Handling incoming enquiries, organising meetings, and maintaining excellent customer care standards.
  • Supporting the team’s work with Special Guardianship (SGO) and private law families, ensuring accurate and timely administrative input to achieve positive outcomes.

This is a varied and rewarding role, where your attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to manage competing demands will make a real difference.

  • Can produce accurate documents, handle sensitive information confidentially, and prioritise their workload effectively.
  • Communicates clearly and professionally with families, social workers, partners, and external agencies.
  • Can work well as part of a team and adapt to the fast‑paced, sometimes emotionally demanding nature of the work.
  • Is committed to developing their skills and maintaining high standards of service delivery.
Qualifications
  • Essential: NVQ Level 2 in a relevant subject (or equivalent).
  • Desirable: ECDL or an equivalent IT‑related qualification.
