THE EMPLOYER IS: M.E. SUPPORT NIThe Administrative Support Assistant will provide essential administrative and clerical support to help M.E. Support NI operate efficiently and deliver community-based projects. The role will involve maintaining accurate records, assisting with correspondence, and supporting day-to-day operations.M.E. Responsibilities
  • Provide general administrative support including filing, photocopying, scanning, and data entry.
  • Respond to emails, phone calls, and online enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of participants, sessions, and volunteer activity.
  • Assist with preparation of reports, meeting notes, and documentation for funders and trustees.
  • Update and organise digital files using Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.
  • Support scheduling of meetings and events, including booking venues and preparing materials.
  • Assist with maintaining and ordering stock of stationery and supplies.
  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with data protection and safeguarding policies.
  • Undertake other reasonable administrative tasks to support service delivery.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Good general level of education, including English and Maths at GCSE (or equivalent).
  • Confident in the use of computers and common office software, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and data entry.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and undertake relevant training.
  • Previous experience in an office, community, or voluntary organisation (paid or voluntary).
  • Experience of maintaining filing systems or databases.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools such as SharePoint or Teams.
  • Knowledge of basic safeguarding or data protection principles.
  • Interest in health, wellbeing, or community-based work.
