Job description

This post represents an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed Administrative Assistant to share in the work of our friendly and supportive support staff team. Whether you are new to working in a school, or are a more experienced and ambitious colleague wishing to develop your career, this vibrant and successful school can help you to develop and flourish.

We are looking for a motivated and highly efficient Administrative Assistant with a keen eye for detail, who can work flexibly to support multiple faculties and House offices in an environment where there are conflicting deadlines and where frequent interruptions are commonplace. The successful candidate will hold a first aid qualification (or must be prepared to undertake the relevant qualification) and will provide cover for the main school first aider in their absence. The working hours for this post are 8.30am - 4.00pm, Monday to Friday, on a permanent contract to start as soon as possible.

Visits the school are welcomed and we would be delighted to show you around our fantastic school. Please contact Sharon Parker, Head's PA, on 01202 622413 to arrange a tour.

If you would like to informally discuss this post prior to applying, please contact Sharon Parker, Head’s PA at parkers@lytchett.org.uk.

Set in a semi-rural location with an 18th Century family Manor House at its heart, Lytchett has one of the most beautiful and inspirational learning environments in the county with stunning extensive grounds and a number of modern extensions. The school is massively over‑subscribed and highly regarded in the community. Parents know that Lytchett looks after its students, providing them with outstanding pastoral care and high‑quality teaching. The school has a successful, thriving sixth form with over 340 students.

Lytchett has not joined a multi‑academy trust, and has no intention of doing so, because it values its independence as a secondary school which serves its local community and produces outstanding outcomes for its students.

To find out more about the school, please refer to our 'What is it like to work at Lytchett?' document.

WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CLOSE THIS ADVERT EARLY AND/OR TO APPOINT PRIOR TO THE CLOSING DATE. WE WOULD THEREFORE ENCOURAGE YOUR EARLY APPLICATION.
