A prestigious educational institution in the UK is seeking an experienced Administrative Officer to support the Pandemic Sciences Institute. You will play a key role in managing stakeholder engagement and providing high-quality administrative support. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively. This position is full-time on a fixed-term contract for 3 years.
We are seeking to appoint an Administrative Officer to join us at the Pandemic Sciences Institute (PSI) where you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of PSI’s mission.
The Pandemic Sciences Institute (PSI) is a multidisciplinary institute within the University of Oxford, established to strengthen global capacity to prepare for and respond to pandemics. PSI works to identify, counter, and effectively manage future pandemic threats. Through global cross-sector partnerships, we create science-led innovations that accelerate knowledge generation and exchange, and develop new diagnostics, treatments, vaccines, and digital disease control tools. As an Administrative Officer in the PSI Professional Services Team, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of PSI’s mission. You will be the key interface for the PSI Lead for Research Strategy, Delivery and Culture and PSI Business Manager with a wide range of internal and external contacts, and will work closely with several members of the PSI’s senior leadership team.
You will provide high-quality administrative and organisational support, manage a wide range of stakeholder engagement, and support and contribute to the planning and delivery of meetings, events and initiatives across the Institute. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment.
This demanding and diverse workload requires a strong range of skill sets and an adaptable, proactive approach. You will be expected to demonstrate a significant degree of independent professional responsibility.
