Job Summary
We are looking for an Administration Assistant to join the Surgery Care Group. The role requires someone who can work well independently and as part of a team, adapt to changing demands, input information accurately, and follow instructions. On successful completion of a probationary period, you will have the opportunity to work from home up to two days a week.
Main Duties
- Administration tasks, including maintaining the NMC Registration database.
- Arrange Return to Work meetings and process related HR forms.
- Manage other office duties and administrative support.
- Co‑ordinate departmental meetings, take and type minutes.
- Liaise with a wide range of professionals using excellent communication skills.
- Use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) to prioritise workloads and work effectively under pressure.

Person Specification
Essential
- Word processing, typing and computer literacy skills to RSA3/NVQ3 level or equivalent.
- Previous secretarial/administrative experience (minimum six months).
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent; Maths and English at C or above.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
- Previous administrative experience, preferably in an NHS environment.
- Experience handling confidential and sensitive information.
- ECODL certification.
- Experience using systems such as CPD and DATIX (DCIQ).
