Job summary

A public health service provider in Launceston is seeking a clerical support officer to provide reception and clerical services within the Pathology Department. Candidates with experience in inventory management may have an advantage. This is a full-time, fixed-term position with a salary range of $66,049 to $70,993 per annum, plus benefits, starting from November 2025.

The Team

The Team:

Northern Tasmanian Pathology Service (NTPS) provides Pathology services to Launceston General Hospital and the Northern regions of Tasmania. We are the only public pathology service operating in North Tasmania. NTPS aims to deliver a high-quality service to general practitioners, medical specialists and private hospitals, providing patients with no out of pocket expenses for Medicare eligible tests. The team at NTPS comprises a large team involving multi-disciplinary scientists, technicians, non-technical staff and Pathologists.

The Role

The Role:

Working within a team environment, provide reception, clerical and data input services for the Pathology Department.

Previous experience in handling stock inventory, reconciliation and receipt will be an advantage.

Details of appointments

Multiple, fixed term, day worker positions, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, from 17 November 2025 until 30 June 2026.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary

Salary: $66,049 to $70,993 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Agreement (Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022).
