Job description

Applications are invited for a part-time Administrative Assistant in the Centre for Cancer Genetic Epidemiology in the Department of Public Health and Primary Care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support for the EMBRACE Study, a multi-centre project funded by Cancer Research UK.
  • Monitor and maintain stock supplies for the EMBRACE study.
  • Contact general practitioners, send blood kits out to patients, and liaise with clinical genetics centres across the UK to ensure data completeness.
  • Enter questionnaire data and write summary reports to hospitals.
Qualifications
  • Excellent communication, administrative and IT skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience working in a university administration environment is an advantage.

This appointment is part-time (minimum of 24 hours/week), with flexible working days that ideally include Fridays.

The funding for this post is available until 31 January 2027 in the first instance.

Location: Department of Public Health and Primary Care, Strangeways Research Laboratory, Worts Causeway, Cambridge CB1 8RN (approximately 2 miles south of the city centre).
