Job description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support a busy engineering team in Bradford offering an immediate start due to urgent project support needs!

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working independently to manage documentation and support project delivery.

You’ll be working closely with the QA Manager and wider project teams to ensure documentation is accurate, well‑organised, and accessible. Your contribution will be key in maintaining quality standards and supporting the smooth running of engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities as Administrative Assistant:
  • Confidently use Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel, to create, edit, and manage documents without supervision.
  • Convert and format documents between PDF and Word, ensuring consistency and accuracy across versions.
  • Track and manage project‑related data across multiple formats and systems.
  • Support the QA Manager with document control, version tracking, and quality assurance documentation.
  • Set up and maintain structured filing systems (both digital and physical) to ensure easy retrieval and compliance.
  • Create and implement document templates to standardise project documentation.
  • Assist with general administrative tasks as required to support the wider team.
What We're Looking For as Administrative Assistant:
  • Strong administrative skills with proven experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A positive, can‑do attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Experience in an engineering or technical environment is desirable but not essential.

Location: BD12 Bradford

Hourly Rate for Administrative Assistant: £12.62, T+1/2 above standard 37.5 hours if you work it

Working Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Monday to Friday) Early finish on Fridays, Flexi‑time available, must meet 37.5 hours weekly after 30minute lunch break deduction daily

Contract Type: This is an ongoing temporary role with the potential to become permanent for a candidate who demonstrates the right attitude, reliability and initiative.
