  • Full‑time appointment on a fixed term basis for 24 months.
  • Base salary range: $83,212 – $92,231 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.
About the area

The National Geotechnical Centrifuge Facility (NGCF) is a world‑leading research infrastructure housed within UWA’s Indian Ocean Marine Research Centre. The facility supports cutting‑edge geotechnical experimental modelling across offshore and onshore environments, enabling influential research undertaken by the Centre for Offshore Foundation Systems, industry partners and collaborating universities. NGCF plays a key role in advancing UWA’s research mission by supporting specialised experimentation, innovation and training activities.

About the opportunity
  • Provide broad, high‑level administrative and communications support to enable the smooth operation of a nationally recognised research facility.
  • Lead the creation and coordination of branded communications, including social media, website content, newsletters and annual reports, to promote NGCF activities and stakeholder engagement.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by refining administrative systems, supporting compliance processes, and assisting a small, dynamic team across varied operational tasks.
About you
  • You bring strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced research environment.
  • You have highly developed verbal and written communication skills and experience producing professional branded communications across digital platforms.
  • You are confident using a wide range of administrative and financial systems, including Microsoft Office, scheduling tools, and accounting‑related applications.
  • You demonstrate initiative, adaptability and a commitment to process improvement, thriving both independently and as an effective team member.
  • You deliver excellent customer service and build positive working relationships across diverse internal and external stakeholders.
