The Tamworth Cancer Centre is seeking an experienced Team Lead to guide and support our dedicated administrative team.
This Monday to Friday role offers flexibility within business hours, and we’re happy to consider part-time arrangements (minimum 30 hours per week) for the right candidate.

As Team Lead, you will oversee a team of 17 admin staff, ensuring smooth operations in supporting oncology outpatients, infusion services, specialist medical staff, and outpatient typing services. You’ll be the go‑to resource for workflow management, staff development, and Medicare billing guidance, helping our team deliver high‑quality, patient‑focused care.
We’re looking for a leader who combines strong people management skills with a compassionate, empathetic approach, inspiring their team to put patients at the heart of everything they do. You will be a clear and confident communicator, able to negotiate effectively and explain complex processes in a way that empowers your staff, while strong knowledge of billing in an outpatient area is highly valued. Above all, you’ll champion a patient‑centred philosophy, ensuring every decision supports the best possible experience for those in our care.
