Administrative Officer - HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS)

Location: Swansea Civil Justice Centre Caravella House, Quay West, Quay Parade Swansea West Glamorgan SA1 1SP
Contract Type: Temporary / Full-time
Salary: £12.36 per hour
Start Date: As soon as possible

Working Pattern: Monday-Friday, 37 hours per week, fully office based

**Travel between Swansea and Port Talbot is required as part of this role**

About the Role

We're looking for an organised and customer‑focused individual to join HMCTS as an Administrative Officer. You'll play a key role in supporting the smooth running of courts and tribunals by carrying out a range of administrative tasks and delivering excellent service to the public, judiciary, and legal professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare case files, court documents, and meeting materials
• Update records and input data into internal systems
• Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence
• Support court hearings, tribunals, and other operational activities
• Respond to enquiries via phone, email, and face‑to‑face
• Process legal documents, fines, fees, and claims
• Verify and check information for accuracy and compliance
• Assist with scheduling, listing, and rota management
• Contribute to team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives

Skills & Experience

• 5 GCSEs (A*-C) or equivalent, or relevant administrative experience
