Administration Officer - Medal Office (Public Sector)

Location: Gloucester (Fully Onsite)
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm)
Pay Rate: £14.48 per hour
Contract: Temporary (with potential for extension)

About the Role

Our Public Sector client based in Gloucester, is seeking an Administration Officer to join their dedicated Medal Office team. This is a unique opportunity to play a meaningful part in honouring the service and achievements of our Armed Forces.

As the Medal Office launches a new Wider Service Medal, you will be supporting a specialist project team focused on its processing, engraving, and distribution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all names, rank, and service details are recorded and engraved accurately.
  • Manage workloads effectively to meet daily targets and deadlines.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and applicants.
  • Handle sensitive personal data with confidentiality and integrity.
  • Input, verify, and maintain accurate records in secure databases.
  • Review completed work to ensure compliance with official standards and policies.
  • Collaborate within a structured team environment to achieve shared objectives.
  • Respond to phone, email, and written enquiries, often involving sensitive or historical information.

Additional Requirements
  • Security Clearance (SC) and three years of references must be in place prior to confirming a start date.
