This post is based at Royal Stoke University Hospital Site, however, you may be asked to provide support at the County Hospital.
The post holder's role will be split between reception duties/administrative support to the senior management team and working as part of the procurement team. Duties will include working with pharmacy staff, use of Microsoft office applications, answering the telephone, dealing with incoming post and emails. Monitoring and ordering consumables in collaboration with the PA/Office Supervisor. Whilst working in procurement you will work within a small team to raise orders, liaise with Suppliers, review invoices and credit notes.
The post holder will be responsible for maintaining high standards of professionalism and providing services in accordance with the Trust's values and behaviours. Other qualities include the need to be punctual, reliable, of smart appearance and hard working with a professional demeanour.

Are you an ambitious and highly motivated individual looking to obtain more experience within the NHS, then look no further. The Pharmacy Directorate require an organised person with a flexible and adaptable approach in undertaking a busy work schedule to work both within the Pharmacy Directorate Office and the Pharmacy Procurement Team. You will need to be able to work in a calm, logical and methodical way but be able to multi‑task whilst dealing with frequent interruptions and you must possess effective communication skills. The ability to work on your own initiative is required along with good basic education and RSA Word Processing. The ability to use Microsoft office is essential to allow you to produce the standard or work required.
Experience of minute taking would be an advantage.

NVQ2/RSA2 word processing or equivalent
Administration/clerical background

Computer literate with good general keyboard skills, for using the pharmacy computer systems, including ordering, receiving and stock and rectifying stock discrepancies.
Well organised and able to work within a set timescale
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
