Overview

ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT - Full time hours only and permanent
37 hours per week (8am to 4pm Monday to Friday), term time plus one week
GRADE C: £25,186 - £26,244 FTE / £22,096 - £23,024 actual salary

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced administrator to join a supportive team who work collaboratively to contribute to the continued success of the school. We are seeking to appoint an Administration Assistant to provide support with all aspects of school administration.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support for a variety of areas including departments, pastoral leaders and senior management.
  • Administer school trips and events; support front of house areas.
  • Liaise with school staff and external parties as appropriate.
  • Assist with other relevant duties as required, including helping to support school events or whole school administrative tasks.
  • Be proactive with a can-do attitude and help identify improved systems within school operations; assist in the smooth running of established processes.
  • Note: Responsibilities are not limited to the items listed; a high level of flexibility is required.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
  • Highly organised, accurate and detail-conscious work ethic.
  • Ability to use discretion and respect confidentiality.
  • Experience of SIMS (or other education MIS) would be beneficial; training can be provided.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the education sector and/or experience of working within a school environment or other busy office environment would be desirable.
Working Arrangements

This vacancy is full time, 8:00am-4:00pm Monday to Friday and will be term time plus one additional week (worked over the course of the academic year).
