The Radiology Department is seeking a diligent and professional Administrative Assistant to provide vital administrative support across both University Hospital Coventry and Rugby St Cross Hospital.

This is a reception-based role, where excellent customer service experience is essential.

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of the Radiology Department, supporting the delivery of essential diagnostic services.

Please note that sponsorship is not eligible for this post.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcoming and registering patients in a courteous and professional manner
  • Processing referrals with accuracy and efficiency
  • Managing telephone enquiries promptly and courteously
  • Acting as the first point of contact for patients and visitors dealing with routine enquiries
  • Booking in patients for their appointments
  • Processing of referrals in line with Departmental guidelines
  • Maintaining an efficient and comprehensive administrative service
  • Utilising relevant Trust IT systems
  • Maintaining both manual and electronic filing systems and databases
  • Responsible for the dissemination of all relevant information to departments, external and internal users
  • Assisting with training new team members in Trust operational systems and department procedures
  • Communicating with staff, patients and/or external organisations using appropriate methods
  • Responsible for the receipt and distribution of incoming/outgoing post and action accordingly
  • Prioritising daily tasks to achieve timescales set
  • Acting as first point of contact for complaints within the department
  • Providing appropriate cover in the absence of other members of the team
  • Continually contributing to patient and business improvement Agendas
